Depends on how many ships in port, scheduled maintenance, etc.

We have done it twice in NY on the Caribbean, and although we have sailed her several times and didn't need to go on the tour, it was a nice lunch, relaxing day, embarkations photos included and several hours to drink poolside (using your cruise card they give you for the day for charges). Hoping to do it this summer again.

We have someone booked to do it on the Royal in Fort Lauderdale on March 30. Hoping this will be a mind changer for the one in our group that never wants to try a cruise with us!!

The BVE is a lot of fun. I think I gained 5 pounds on my first one:o. I met a few people from CC on the Sapphire BVE. A good time was had by all!

 

If you do book and attend a BVE, the cost can be applied towards a cruise.
