MDR dinner question

just a quick question for anyone who's cruised P&O recently - do they still bring / serve a tray of vegetables to your table at dinner?

We haven't cruised with them for about a year and the last time we did, the waiter brought a separate tray of 2 or 3 veggies to accompany whichever meal you had chosen and we just wondered if they still did it. We have sailed with 4 other lines since and they did not do that and we like to get our '5 a day'!!

Hi

Your main meal is pre plated.

Veg and condements arrive separately just as they did before.

Oh, I thought that your meal came pre plated full stop.

Does this mean that hubby can still have LOTS o his plate and little me can have less? If so I am sold -------------- soooooo much better than the US cruise lines that want us all to eat like we're Arnie !!!!;)

That's so good to hear, thanks.

The last time with P & O the meal you chose came with a specific veg or 2 to go with your chosen dish but then they came round with a tray of 'veg of the day' to accompany any/every dish is required so we often have more veg rather than a starter as we are bit veg eaters. We expected Cunard to do the same but they didn't and even when we requested extra veg the night before it was often missed or just a small qty of 1 veg:( We just didn't know if things might have changed since we last sailed (cost cutting and all that) and were remembering things thru' rose tinted lenses!

Just returned from Ventura. Main meals are all pre plated, vegetables are not served separately. Portions are variable, some reasonably sized, others minute. Menu boring, four main courses which are always a fish dish, a roast, a vegetarian dish and one other. The always available menu has been reintroduced.
