I think I just made a huge mistake!

Thanks all!!!

I was seriously wondering when posting if the intent would somehow sneak through and lighten the mood. I'm glad that my attempt at humor was able give you a smile or two.

 

When reading some of the more "gloomy" posts on here, I sometimes find myself wanting to reach through the screen and just slap somebody. After several (failed) attempts and several replacement screens, I thought this just might do the trick.

 

Although I think the ones that need it the most (and we all know who they are), will be the ones that can only stare up and wonder what just flew over.

 

I will pass along your wishes to my DS and will dutifully report back in after our cruise.

 

Here's to smooth seas and warm breezes and living life while we still can!

 

Enjoy your next cruise, whenever it may be and if we ever run into each other, the first round is on me!

You did far better than I did. I am still smarting from the beating I took over the Grumpy Cat sails with NCL thread. (Which disappeared into Grumpy Land in true Grumpy style.)

Thank you for the laugh this evening and thanks to your son for the service he will be giving his country.

 

I tried that slapping thing through the computer once and all I got was bruised knuckles. Some people just take life to serious.

 

Have a great time, take lots of photos and come back and tell us how you enjoy rowing the ship

What a great post Walt! After reading some of what I think are some pretty rude comments on this board from people who appear to love to make people feel stupid, your post was just what I needed. This is about cruising not brain surgery and some people do need to lighten up. I think you are going the same time my daughter, my husband and I. I always pack extra t.p. and snacks so if you run out, just give a holler, we'll be the ones laughing and having a great time. Or we'll be the ones washing dishes in the kitchen if we don't do well in the casino. You two will have a great time. My daughter and I went on a cruise together a couple of years ago, just us girls and had a wonderful time. Very special. Except for the excursion where sharks were involved, still not sure she wasn't trying to get rid of me!

OMG!!! I was feeling so sorry for you thinking that people had told you this stuff to scare you out of cruising and you believed it! Then I realized what was going on. I needed this. I think we all needed it. Thank you so much and give your son a great big hug for me for his Service.

 

Oh, and if I could vote on best thread ever, it would be this one!

Agreed! Best thread ever. Still giggling several hours later.

 

Especially after I read on another section that someone was outraged they couldn't get sweet 'n low from room service. (Probably not even true....just silliness and absurdity.)
