As far as music, Bob Marley and Jimmy Buffet always put me in the mood for cruising.

sail7seas Posted February 15, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Jimmy Buffet but please don't share it with the whole side of your ship. Some of us might want the quiet enjoyment of listening to the sea........ :)

slidergirl Posted February 15, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 15, 2014 My playlist totally depends on the mood I want for myself. Nothing more relaxing for me than Andrea Bocelli while cruising the Med. For the Caribbean, I'd like some of my jazz/blues: Boz Scaggs, Acoustic Alchemy, Mindi Abair, Norah Jones, Alicia Keyes… And, as one of those who has a cool Bluetooth Jambox speaker that I use at home to listen to my iTouch music on the patio, I leave it at home and plug it a favorite packable pair of headphones. Yes Virginia, some of us do have Bluetooth speakers to run our iPhones/iTouch/Android devices. Nice to have in the cabin if you want, though;)

flamomo Posted February 15, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 15, 2014 Since I know that. while my favorite music to listen to anywhere and anytime is that of Andrea Bocelli, not everyone would appreciate listening to it, I always use earbuds to enjoy it when on my balcony, and a small portable speaker, with the volume set so it is only audible inside MY cabin, for use when I am in my cabin. Laughing Angel Posted February 15, 2014 #14 Share Posted February 15, 2014 slidergirl, I also caught the Dukes of September Rhythm Revue at the Chicago Theater a few years back. The guys were throwin' down! Fabulous show. Lucky you, getting to hear Boz this weekend!

slidergirl Posted February 16, 2014 #16 Share Posted February 16, 2014 Please help....... :D What is 'throwin down'? They were playin' good and hard!!! One of those concerts where you don't sit down once they start playing. A REALLY good concert. In some sports, like in the bobsled and skeleton you see on the Olympics right now, they will "throw down" a good run - run it hard and get it down the track!
