Ship time in Alaska

Hi,

 

We are sailing to Alaska in aug 2014 on carnival miracle. Can anyone tell me whether or not the ship time is changed to Match local time?

 

I am concerned as we are booking tours privately.

I believe ship always stays on the same schedule. It is set from where ever the cruise originates from.

You are correct you always go by ship time while in port no matter what time zone you are in believe me it makes life easier and missing the ship is a real drag. The CD will tell you when to set watches forward or backward if needed.

We were on the Celebrity Solstice last year on an Alaskan Cruise. They changed the ship time twice during the trip (once forward and then back again) to match local time.

I was on the Miracle this past September for the final 2 sailings for Alaska. Ship Time changed the first night out and the last night out to coincide with local time.
