Trying to decide, Royal, Princess or Celebrity? Just want your feedback if you've been on jewel or the other ones and if so what're they like and worth the price?

Are itineraries identical?

Tell us about yourself. Have you cruised before? Age and likes?

What ships are you looking at other than Jewel?

Are you looking at a verandah, inside etc????

This would be helpful. Also, Celebrity is no longer doing those cruises... Not sure about Royal Caribbean unless you want one of the very short repo cruises, which are not really representative of the cruise line as they are so short.

Celebrity Century is doing many Pacific Coastals in March, April & May.

 

I did a coastal on the Solstice and really enjoyed it, but have also done them on Princess and enjoyed them also.

 

OP-If you can give us more details as to what itineraries you're comparing, you'll get a better response.

Huh? The Royal Princess doesn't do Pacific Coastals. She's on the East Coast, Caribbean and in Europe.

My bad. I guess this will be Celebrity's last season for the Pacific coastals. Also, the Century is a much older ship than the Crown?

Yes, it is and a lot, lot smaller too. ;)

35 and my wife's 33. We've cruised only on Carnival.

If choosing between the two, I would go with the Crown Princess. It's a bigger ship, more to do and a slightly younger crowd. Plus, it's newer than the Century and the Century is leaving Celebrity's fleet soon so things may not be quite up to par with other Celebrity ships. JMHO FWIW.

Cruise Critic says the Century is doing a year of farewell cruises & leaving the Celebrity fleet in 2015 going to their French-operated sister company Croisieres de France.

Yes, that's true. And, there are some really great "au revoir" specials for Century sailings. I think it's time they finally got rid of that small ship, but I know it has a really strong following of loyal cruisers who will really miss it.
