sevenseassailor Posted February 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2014 We will be getting a nice SBC from our travel agent. If we do not spend it during our cruise can we get it in cash from Guest Relations desk at end of the cruise?? Not sure what Regent's policy is on this. DaveFr Posted February 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2014 If your TA completely paid for the SBC, then it is refundable and you can get some or all of the cash back at any time during the cruise. Many times though, SBC from a TA actually comes from Regent. In that case, the SBC is nonrefundable. There will be a card in your suite detailing the SBC. That card will say whether the SBC is refundable or nonrefundable. Hope this helps.
Rare WesW Posted February 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 20, 2014 (edited) To add to what Dave mentions above you can also go down to Guest Relations deck and ask them if the SBC provided by your TA is refundable. When we enter or suite DW's chore is to unpack, mine is to verify SBC (AMX, TA provided, Travel Consortium SBC or Excursion provided, etc). Within 30 min of arriving in our suite, I head down to Guest Relations and verify the veracity of our SBC (refundable or not, AMX credited or not). If there is a disconnect w/SBC present or not, refundable or not; Guest Relations gets in touch with Regent's home office and deconflicts within hours. sevenseassailor Posted March 9, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks for the info. We usually do not get SBC's but talked our TA out of $900 one for this summer's cruises.
Travelcat2 Posted March 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks for the info. We usually do not get SBC's but talked our TA out of $900 one for this summer's cruises. That is great news! Remember that if you book an excursion with a cost, it can usually be cancelled the rebooked with OBC's once you are onboard. You can then receive the money back in cash!
