saldino Posted March 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Will be cruising on Equinox soon. May it be used by all passengers? Is the Solarium adults-only? Is it disabled accessible? Thanks!
jelayne Posted March 5, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2014 It is available to all passengers- no children. Not sure about accessibility.
justcrusn Posted March 5, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I have never seen it used but there is a lift beside the pool to lower someone in who could not do the normal entry.
jackdiamond Posted March 5, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2014 It is also a fine venue for vigorous pool walking and ancillary exercises.
dkjretired Posted March 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2014 It is adults only however Celebrity reserves the right to open it to children in the event of inclement weather. They also have lifts at the pool and the hot tubs.
jackdiamond Posted March 5, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2014 I believe that it is over 16; hence, not adults only.
rebeccalouiseagain Posted March 5, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 5, 2014 It may depend on the itinerary but all potty trained kids are permitted to use the indoor pool during certain hours. I've sailed both Equinox (Norway) and Solstice (Pacific Coast) and the pool was available to kids during set times. It will be in the daily newsletter. Clydesmom7865 Posted March 5, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2014 Will be cruising on Equinox soon. May it be used by all passengers? Is the Solarium adults-only? Is it disabled accessible? Thanks! It is VERY disabled access. On my last cruise there was a woman on board who had severe MS and was wheel chair bound but had very limited walking ability. EVERY day her wonderful husband brought her to the indoor pool and she walked down to the edge and he lowered her in and spent two hours or more doing aquatic therapy with her all around the pool.
