Yes, every Royal ship we've been on has had a drink of the day. Years ago, the drink of the day was a good deal. Not so much anymore.

On my last cruise the discount was $0. It was just a special drink for that day that came in a souvenir mug.

I agree with other posters, the drinks of the day were cheaper a long time ago not now. You just get a nice cup you can keep and store in your basement . we have about 25 cups down there. i should open my own royal bar in my basement

We were just on the explorer. we had the drink package and did not order a "drink of the day" (too sweet for me!) but, I believe they were 6.75 each.

You do not have to take the souvenir cup. Just ask for the drink of the day in a regular cup and it will be cheaper.

The ones on the islands and around the pool are plastic, but they have other varieties that are glass. They have a load of after dinner shot glasses in different colors.
