Dinner for 3 in Insignia PH3?

My DW, our 15 year old son and I have a PH3 on Insignia's Caribbean Delights

cruise in November. We are very interested in having a few dinners served in the cabin but are concerned that the table in there is not large enough for 3.

Looks like there may only be 2 chairs as well. Has anyone managed 3 for dinner in a PH? How did you do it?

Actually, we never even tried to have dinner for TWO in one of the "R" ships (PH level). We did have breakfast often, and it was fine. I would say that unless they can bring in a table topper, it won't work for three. They can always bring in an extra chair, I wouldn't think that that's the problem. But space on the table is.

Our last cruise was in an Oceania Suite on Marina and I would say that even THAT table wasn't really adequate for three people. It probably could have been better managed than the table in the PH, but even so with all the plates and such we found it tight for just two.

The table in the VS on Marina (and no doubt in the OS) are sufficient for four people.

Best to ask your butler if something can be arranged. If it can be, he will be the person to take care of it for you.

Everything is doable, would I do it NO. There is a table topper behind the couch but barely enough room for two. You will be in the Caribbean...go to the Terrace and enjoy your meal ourdoors whilst sailing from port. Most enjoyable. You will find you are going to be cramped as it is and most likely will savor the time out of your cabin.

I don't think it is big enough for dinner for two

You have to use the bed as a sideboard

I find nothing attractive about having a lovely dinner in a cramped space

The cabin really is not even big enough for 2 to dine... 3 would be terrible, like eating at a drive in...in your car
