Pre cruise hotel

Hi everyone!

We are looking for a mid priced hotel in Fort Lauderdale on Feb. 6 2015, we are sailing on the Oasis 7 night Eastern Caribbean route.

Of course I would like a nice view of the port, close to shopping for wine and water and walking distance for dinners.

I have a law enforcement discount I can use if available.

We have been enjoying all the posts on this thread and are really excited to keep reading about all of the experiences!:D

We prefer the Holiday Inn Express ( loyalty program benefits for us). No view of the port, but you can walk UP the bridge for a great view of the ships. It's also only about a mile walk to the ship - which we have done often. I believe the transport to the ship is $8.

We are staying at Embassy Suites, we have stayed in this area before and there is plenty of shopping, resturants, grocery store. Not sure about seeing the port, maybe from the top floor?

Price was good, $136 for the end of May.

Go to hotels.com and see all the hotels available, plenty close to port and reasonable prices.
