Bayonne Premier Parking

Recommended Posts

We are taking a cruise out of Bayonne NJ. I was wondering if anyone has parked there car at the Premier parking lot in Bayonne Cape Liberty? If you have did was it a positive or negative experience?

We parked there 5 times and did not have any problems. Others might have different opinions. I got 4 free days of parking after we parked there 4 times. Don't know if they still do that. This was in Dec. 2013.

We parked at Premier and had no problems what so ever. The shuttle was there for us and the people were very pleasant. Just use regular precautions. I would use them again.

Something can happen even in the best of parking lots, you just never know!

How long is your cruise on the EX? Are you driving down the same day from Albany? If you are on a longer cruise there are park sleep options like Trinityreservations - Ramada Plaza is about $200 for room, parking, and port transportation for up to 4 people. That works well for the 9 day cruise. For the 5 day cruise I think it's worth paying the $95 to park at the pier.

  • 2 months later...

This was very easy, we got to their lot and within 20 minutes we were checking in at the port. Their vans avoid the long lines. The pickup at the end of cruise was just as easy, 10 minute wait and we were in the van and on the road in 5 minutes. Great for 1/2 price of parking at the port.

Great and easy experience but you have to be off the ship before 10am so will probably can be used with self assist as we did

Glad it worked out for you, we will continue to NOT recommend them...

Kind of wondering how the vans can bypass the traffic..since there is one road into and out of the pier...unless they butt in front of other cars riding on the shoulder or in the opposite lane..

Again, glad it worked out for you...but they'll never be on our list of suggested vendors....

Thanks for the info. I think we will just park at the pier..

We have not had any problems with Premier at Bayonne. If you get there at the same time as most other people are trying to get to the pier (roughly 11:00 to 1:00), you will be delayed and stuck in traffic. That will be the same if you are waiting to get into the pier parking or in the Premier shuttle. We get to Premier around 10:00 to 10:30 and there are few delays except the usual wait to get on the ship. BTW, if you do go to Premier, look for the sign on the left side of the road. The parking area is behind some factory buildings and not visible from the road.

In addition to Premier being less expensive, it is also at a HIGHER ELEVATION. On our Hurricane Sandy cruise, about half the vehicles parked on the pier were totaled from flooding.... No flood damage on cars parked at Premier.

The vans do not have to wait on the line, they are able to make an early left and leave you at debarkation , it was great and time saving

Used Premier twice without issue. However, it is offsite and requires a shuttle both ways, of course a tip should be provided, so add $20 to the bill and the savings aren't all that substantial. Nice to have the car right at the pier and you know you won't have to wait. At peak times, Bayonne can get busy and its impossible to get in in under 20 minutes. Not worth the trouble in the future, after a 4k trip, saving $50 with risk of inconvenience isn't worth it. But if the money is tight, by all means know Premier runs a good servie.

Actually the shuttle was a plus for us this week since we avoided the long line of cars for embarkation and on debarkation, it was raining and they got us in and out while dry very quickly. We would do it again

We always park at the pier and have never had a problem. It's so convenient.

Nor had we the previous 7 times we were there, wanted to try something different for half the price and thought I would pass along that it worked out well
