Captains Circle Points

We are at Platinum level in the Captains Circle and need 30 points to become Elite. We recently completed a 39 day cruise on the Queen Victoria finishing in Sydney, Australia.

We were led to believe that Cunard points may be counted in Captains Circle - provided the ship came to an Australian port. Princess hasn't answer our email query.

Does anyone know if one can get Captains Circle credit for Cunard travel days if the cruise comes to an Australian port?

I got 1 cruise credit for my PO UK Acadia cruise last month. However, I was advised that this would be phased out at the end of February. I shows in my cruise personaliser. Have you checked there.

You must mean 30 days? Princess gives one cruise credit per cruise (basically) and it takes 15 cruise credits to make it to Elite. Or 150 cruise days gets you to Elite.

If you cruise solo I believe you get two credits. Also extra credit for a suite..

No, it doesn't. P&O is a completely different issue in that before Carnival Corporation purchased P&O, P&O owned Princess and days cruised on each counted towards the other. Once Carnival Corporation (not to be confused with Carnival Cruise Lines) purchased P&O, the two lines were separated but the cross-cruise line cruise credit was grandfathered in. P&O never owned Cunard nor vice versa so there's no reciprocity.

Like any other Carnival Corporation cruise line, if you cruise one of the lines, you're automatically enrolled in the other cruise line loyalty program and are eligible for past passenger rates. Cruises, cruised days and cruise credits are not transferable. As a Cunard cruiser, you'll have a Princess Captain's Circle # and may be eligible for a past passenger rate. That's it.

Great explanation Pam.
