Dining choices with Aqua Class Cabin

We recently booked an Aqua Class cabin on the Summit. Our TA contacted us to ask us whether we prefer 6pm dining or Anytime Dining. We were under the impression that with Aqua Class we could dine at anytime we wished in Blu.

I have researched this topic on Cruise Critic forums but most of the discussions are a couple of years old and had confusing information about whether we should sign up for anytime dining (suggesting that if we do we might not be able to eat in Blu at all). Shouldn't they have a separate option just for Aqua Class? We may want to dine once or twice in the MDR so don't want to rule that out. Does anyone have recent experience and advice? We do not want to choose 6pm dining since we rarely eat dinner before 8 or 8:30. Evidently the late seating is no longer an option.

You have to pick either a 6:00 or 8:30 dining time, then you can dine in Blu any time you desire. Their website/reservations are designed with early or late dining, or Select dining. If you chose select dining, you will have to pre-pay your gratuities, even though you will be dining in Blu, which is in fact anytime dining. If you have any OBC, you won't be able to use it to pay for your gratuities as they will have been pre-paid when you chose Select dining.

Just pick one time (early or late), then when you board, go when you desire. We always eat around 8:30ish and never have problems getting seated right away.

If you are in aqua, you are assigned to blu, period. The choice of meal times on your booking only effects when you pay gratuities..if you pick select dining, you will be billed for gratuities at final payment time. If you pick early or late, you will be billed on-board to your on board account. The choice has no effect whatsoever on your dining room or dining time.

You can eat in the MDR for dinner on one or many nights. Ask the maitre d' in Blu how he/she would like you to do it. Usually, they say just go to select dining but occasionally select dining is overbooked, so they'll ask if you'd like to join early or late seating for the evening.
