S.S.Oceanlover Posted April 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2014 When the Pride ends her last cruise from Baltimore on October 19th will she sail empty to Tampa? Where is the drydock being done? Bill

S.S.Oceanlover Posted April 15, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 15, 2014
Baltimore to Freeport then Freeport to Tampa dry dock in Freeport, no guests
OK thank you. I didn't see any short cruises to freeport so can I assume she'll be sailing empty to Freeport so they can get to work as soon as the ship is empty in Baltimore october 19th? Rare shof515 Posted April 15, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 15, 2014 when the ship sails empty to freeport, the crew might be busy doing prep work before they reach dry dock. Another reason they might want to sail empty to dry dock.

Rare jimbo5544 Posted April 15, 2014 #6 Share Posted April 15, 2014
Thanks. :) Bill
We have seen ships in drydock there (think it is the only one on the east coast big enough to handle cruise ships, but not sure). It is pretty cool looking at them completely out of the water. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
chengkp75 Posted April 15, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 15, 2014 I believe the Pride is getting the "2.0" treatment, so there will be a tremendous amount of demo work to be done, and getting this done on the couple days to Freeport (and saving the days in the shipyard) offsets the revenue from a repo cruise. They will probably have 10-12 9-yard dumpsters on the running track, and they will be full by Freeport, and a whole lot of stuff waiting for more dumpsters.
