cruisenovice2 Posted April 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2014 Hello All, We are on our first cruise and first trip to Alaska. There are 10 of us. And we are all of varying ages. My daughters and nieces and nephew are 26-27 and are looking for more adventure than riding on a train. They like hiking and some physical activity not extreme though. Can anyone suggest excursions they might like. As always I am always thankful for the advice and suggestions.
CruiserBruce Posted April 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2014 (edited) Well, we don't know what ports you are stopping at, but every port on Alaska cruises is covered just down the board. The first thing I would say is to not feel like all 10 must do the same thing. Edited April 15, 2014 by CruiserBruce
cruisenovice2 Posted April 15, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted April 15, 2014 You are so right. I want them to do what they want. There are 3 other couples we are in our 50's and I need to tell them that as well. As far as ports Skagway, Ketichen Juneau, Icy Strait and end up in Seward. epixx Posted April 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted April 16, 2014 Tell the 20 somethings to do this in Juneau: http://beyondak.com/trips/mendenhall-glacier-trek/ We did it with our 16 and 12 year olds.
JimAOk1945 Posted April 16, 2014 #5 Share Posted April 16, 2014 We did the Radiance of the Seas southbound cruise. Check out the cruise line website shore excursion offerings and get the "kids" involved with the choosing process. I'm sure they will find a lot of interesting choices. Happy Cruising!
