Payless Car Rental ?

Has anyone used Payless car rental at FLL and have any feedback to share ?

 

We will be arriving late evening on a Wednesday (9:30pm) from a DL flight and will be picking up the car then...

 

We will return it to the same FLL location and will be using Southwest airlines Saturday (11:20am) departure to SJU.

 

Would a pickup time of 10-10:30pm and a drop off time of 9:00am work easily ?

Not in FLL, but elsewhere. The comments I would make would not be positive. Things like not disclosing all fees and costs until too late.... We won't be using them again.

So the total price for an economy car inc fees and taxes online won't be correct :eek:

 

Pickup 9-10-14 @ 10:00pm

 

Return 9-13-14 @ 9:00am

 

and would "too late" be at the pickup counter ?

In our case, at PHX. Given a price at booking a couple of months in advance that was about 2/3s what everybody else's was. Arrive, go thru the check in process, and the final paper work has a bunch of additional fees and charges, and suddenly the price isn't better than everybody else at all. When confronted with the reservation paperwork, the employee looked at us like this was normal, and pretty much argued that for a few minutes. Finally, the employee offered a discount of about half of the additional charges, so our fee was cheaper than everyone else. Then there was no service in the parking area, coming or going.

 

Left a VERY bad taste in our mouths. We watched our credit card bill very closely for a couple of months...
