What is this? I've never been there or eaten at the Taste Bar.

The one on the Magic had soups and sandwiches at lunchtime. One night they had samples of Mexican food.

Small samples of different dishes. You just walk up and they say welcome to taste bar and they give you the food. Some was tasty others not so much.

On our Inspiration cruise, they had small (bite-sized) samplings of different foods, some appetizer-type things, some entrée-type foods. And I think there were some dessert ones also. Unfortunately, we couldn't give them a try, since we tended to pass by between dinner and the show and were pretty full at the time. ;)

Around dinner time they serve little samples from the specialty restaurants on the ships. It doesn't have to even be a restaurant on that ship. For example, on the Elation, we had samples of something (carnitas?) from Blue Iguana Cantina and meatballs and like some whipped ricotta from Cucina del Captiano. Neither of which are on the Elation. It's kind of their way of letting you try foods from all that Carnival offers.

It supposed to be different samples from the specialty restaurants. But the last time I was on Freedom (?), where I went there before dinner, they gave me the same thing 3 days in a row even the sign there saying they should have different samples every day. I simply stopped going there after that.

According to Carnival's website all ships have the Taste Bar now.
