skeeter195 Posted May 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2014 What happens when 2 NCL ships are leaving the same day from New York. Jan 30th, both the Gem 10 day nad Breakaway 2 day are leaving. Is everyone jammed into pier 88 and one side is the Gem and the other the Breakaway or are 2 piers used. The staff seems to spread thin at times with one ship departing. Just curious as we will be on the Gem.
kroozin' Posted May 7, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2014 It will most likely be a bit zoo-ish ;) We sailed Gem out of NY a few yrs ago same day Dawn was departing. Gem & Dawn both at Pier 88 - one on each side. Not gonna lie - we definitely had the canned sardines feelin' in the terminal. With mega Breakaway & Gem in port NY same day, I'm thinkin' you'll no doubt be very intimate with your fellow passengers before the cruise even embarks! :)

Perhaps they will berth the Gem at pier 90 ?
vandals04 Posted May 8, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 8, 2014 A few years back we departed on the Miracle the same day another ship was in port. It was a huge mess to say the least. Sent from my GT-N8013 using Forums mobile app
