First time baltic cruise. Hotel question

99% of the time you will get a better deal if you book your hotel, ground transfers and even airfare if you book it yourself.

As to complications, the only real complication is you need to do some research yourself.

We like to book ourselves. It is usually much cheaper than through the cruise line, and you can pick a hotel near the things you really want to see. We stayed at the Scandic Front in Copenhagen. Loved it! Enjoy your cruise--the Baltic has been my favorite of all our cruises!:D

Some few years ago in Copenhagen we stayed at The Square. It is located at one corner of City Hall Square and is right next to Tivoli Gardens. Best of all, the entrance to the Stroget is right across the street. The Stroget is a long pedestrian street filled with all kinds of shopping and restaurants and offers a very pleasant walk.

That is an ideal location for Copenhagen, One of my favorite cities.
