Beachlife06 Posted May 8, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 8, 2014 Hi. We are booked for our baltic cruise. We arrive the day before to Copenhagen. Could I just book the hotel thru our cruise line or is it less complicated to do it our way?
CruiserBruce Posted May 8, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) 99% of the time you will get a better deal if you book your hotel, ground transfers and even airfare if you book it yourself. As to complications, the only real complication is you need to do some research yourself. Edited May 8, 2014 by CruiserBruce
GoVikes Posted May 12, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 12, 2014 We like to book ourselves. It is usually much cheaper than through the cruise line, and you can pick a hotel near the things you really want to see. We stayed at the Scandic Front in Copenhagen. Loved it! Enjoy your cruise--the Baltic has been my favorite of all our cruises!:D
zoncom Posted May 12, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2014 Look hotels with extensive reader reviews up on TripAdvisor.com. Book yourself. You will pay double with cruiseline.
ldubs Posted May 12, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2014 Some few years ago in Copenhagen we stayed at The Square. It is located at one corner of City Hall Square and is right next to Tivoli Gardens. Best of all, the entrance to the Stroget is right across the street. The Stroget is a long pedestrian street filled with all kinds of shopping and restaurants and offers a very pleasant walk. That is an ideal location for Copenhagen, One of my favorite cities.
