Msc YC cabin question

Hi guys

Relatively new to cruising, first time with MSC. Booked a b2b yacht club cruise on divina on September. I've been offered cabin 15026 or 15022. I'd haved liked on of the squarer cabins, but these are all gone. I love this forum and have found out loads from you guys. But can anyone tell me if these cabins are the same size. Looking on all the deck plans I csn find, cabin 15022 looks slightly bigger, this could just be my imagination. I know one of you guys has measurements for loads of cabins, so any help would be great. I need to choose my cabin relatively soon.

You've got really good eyes to spot that. On the drawing, yes.....it does look slightly fatter but I think that's just in the drawing. Those two cabins are going to be the same size.

Just got off YC a week ago and I wouldn't care if they made me sleep in the bathroom. It's worth it.

The MSC Yacht Club IS wonderful, have a great cruise :) We are doing a B2B in YC in August:) Can't wait

We're start the cruise on 6th September. Staying in Miami on the 5th in the Hyatt hotel. When would be a good time to head to the port - any idea.

We arrived around 11, dropped bags with Yacht Club shoreside butlers, parked in garage and then were escorted through the terminal to our special checkin area. Doesn't take long to board and be escorted to your cabin. Enjoyed lunch in Le Muse.

Thanks for getting back to me, gosh thats early, didn't think you could get on the ship until much later. Really looking forward to the yc, read so many great things on here. Not sure about the butler thing though, was it not a bit awkward :))

Getting on early gives you the rest of the day to explore the ship. No, the butler thing was not awkward at all. We didn't ask for unpacking or packing since I like to know where all of our "stuff" is. The service in the Top Sail is awesome. Need anything, just let them know. Your cabin butler does double duty in the lounge. We like to interact with our staff so if they have time, they will happy to spend time talking with you. By the way, the Captain comes to the lounge one afternoon before dinner to meet the YC passengers for our Meet the Captain reception. Very nice touch.

Will be happy to answer, or try, any questions.

If there is a delay with boarding, you will have a nice waiting area with beverages and snacks.

Traveling in YC in Sept. 2015 out of Rome. Have a deluxe suite booked. I see that traveling in YC gets mixed reviews. If anyone has some time to share their experience, I would greatly appreciate it. Taking my mother for her 75th birthday and want everything to go smoothly. Thanks.

Which ship? I can only relate our YC experience on the Divina. They should all be similar but that's not always the case.

I think your mother will love all the attention. The staff is wonderful. With it being all inclusive you never have to worry about extra charges unless you wish top shelf drinks. The Top Sail lounge is a great place to come back to after a day of touring. Of course, the One Pool area is also a nice retreat just for YC. The only thing that could be better is the location of Le Muse, but then we do get some extra walking in each time we eat there. We loved every minute of being in the YC.

15029 and 15031 are both square cabins, and they are both unbooked for both weeks of your b2b. You may want to check with your travel agent and see if they can get one of those. It's possible they aren't seeing them as available since they sleep 4 and you may only be searching for a cabin for two. However, when I tried to book one of the square ones recently, I had no trouble just having the travel agent call and request the square room I wanted.

Yeah we like to interact with people too, so its good if you get to have a wee chat with them. Thanks for your help, there's a couple of things I'd like to know.

Do you order your morning coffee from your butler or room service.

Did you use the laundry service, if so can you tell me how much, and are the clothes ironed when they're returned - like t shirts and shorts

Is there ample hanging space and hangers, can I get more hangers if I need them

Finally how is the food in the main restaurant, heard mixed reports about the food

Oops finally finally whats in your minibar

Hope I've not gone overboard (pardon the pun)with all my questions. It's great to have someone to ask.

Thank you, I'm sure I'll think of other things I'd like to know, but the above info would be great .

I did call my TA to ask for one of these, they in turn called MSC and apparently they said they were all booked.

I think if you tell your butler what time you want coffee, he will see that you get it. There is also a room service tag in the cabin. Whenever I went to the Top Sail for coffee, they wouldn't let me carry it back to our cabin, they insisted on doing it for me. :))

Didn't use the laundry service.

I asked for extra regular wire hangers and with clips as the ones in the closet are big and bulky.

We didn't try the main DR but found the food in LeMuse very good just not as many choices as I would like to have had. Didn't go hungry!!

The mini bar has soft drinks, juices, nuts, Pringles, beers, water, and four small bottles of liqueur. Let your butler know if you want certain kinds of beers or soft drinks instead of what's there. They restock it twice a day if needed.

Please don't hesitate to ask questions. That's what I like about CC, you may get more than one opinion.

Hope you are having a nice Mothers Day.

Thanks for getting back to me, I meant the LeMuse dining room. We're not fussy, so as you say we'll not go hungry. Do you get wine and sparkling water in LeMuse.

We have mothers day here in Scotland in march, so thats well past, but had a great day back then. Wishing you the same.

Yeah CC is definitely the place to go to get any information you need. Wonder if anyone else used the laundry service. Can you tell me, do you start another thread, or just wait to see if anyone comes back to me here.

Cruise, we'll be on the Divina this coming Saturday. We have a suite in the Yacht Club but the couple we are traveling with do not. Are we able to dine with them in whatever restaurant they are assigned?

JPR61, here is a link to the laundry pricing. https://www.flickr.com/photos/eroller/sets/72157643234679793/page5/

Yes, choices of wine they are offering each night, Proseco, sparkling or still water, coffees, teas, etc. They also have a sommelier helping with wines for a fee.

Regarding laundry, have you used the "search" feature on the MSC home page? That might help.
