KPfromCT Posted May 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 16, 2014 Just saved another $150 on the Upgrade Your Summer promotion. We were already booked under that promotion, and when I checked at lunch, the price hadn't budged. Got home from work, and did another mock booking and it was exactly $150 lower. Called Carnival, and final payment was reduced. Still almost 3 weeks until final payment is due. We have had a total of over $1200 in price drops, since we booked in February, for a July cruise. Lido Balcony (1) 3 people in the cabin. This is why it pays to check more than once a day. Good Luck Everyone!!!!
sjcruiser Posted May 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 16, 2014 Congrats on the savings and OBC, but it looks like prices for our cruise went up with this promotion.
Katmarha Posted May 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted May 16, 2014 I am still $40 dollars below the cost on line....although I might be available for an upgrade in the cabin. But I don't think I want to change my location. Congrats on getting the reduction.

audcc77 Posted May 17, 2014 #15 Share Posted May 17, 2014 Yes - And definitely don't believe it if they say you are not entitled to it. On Monday, I submitted a price protection form for $20 & was denied. I called them & showed them that we were entitled to it. It was only then that they gave it to me. Today, I submitted another price protection from for $20 & was denied. I called them again and showed them we were entitled to it. They gave it to me again. I just submitted another one a minute ago for $40 so I fully expect this to be denied as well.

bambilin Posted May 17, 2014 #19 Share Posted May 17, 2014 Thanks so much for the alert!!! You just saved me 40 dollars :) Guess my TA got us a pretty awesome rate, we are still over $120 per cabin lower than the best fare for our category. ;0) Happy for all of you that are getting OBC's or upgrades and still love my TA! snoopyb Posted May 20, 2014 #21 Share Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) I never get price drops either and now I'm wondering if I'm not understanding something. Original price, 2 people, cat 8C - $1648 (before tax) with $150 OBC. Fareviewer is showing, cat 8C - $1618 or upgrade to 8E for $1678. Is my original price better because of the OBC? Or is that not a factor in comparing? Wondering if I should call to ask for the $1618 rate or if the OBC with the orig rate means I got a better deal. mephistoles Posted May 20, 2014 #22 Share Posted May 20, 2014 There appears to be a $300 price drop on our room. We're on Lido balcony and there are empty rooms on each side so I'm assuming they're all the same category. I booked my trip through a TA so would I have to contact her directly to apply for additional OBC? So far we have $200 and we have paid in full
Josie2015 Posted May 20, 2014 #23 Share Posted May 20, 2014 First timer here. Can you only get OBC or will the savings be deducted from the cost if you still have a balance? Can OBC be used towards excursions?
ragethjj23 Posted May 20, 2014 #24 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Fair Viewer doesn't have my cabin type so I always have to do a mock on a different site :/
laurenpie Posted May 20, 2014 #25 Share Posted May 20, 2014 So jealous at all your price drops... Mine has gone up quite significantly. I could go some on-board credit!
