We are sailing out of Ijmuiden in September...found out on our Roll Call and on other threads that HAL has a transfer available from the Renaissance Hotel in central Amsterdam on the day of the cruise...it is $32 per person. My TA made the reservation with HAL for us. We are not staying at the REnaissance but I found one very close so we can walk there.

 

From what I remember reading it is Not easy to get to the ship in Ijmuiden via public transportation, and taxis are expensive unless you have someone else to share it with. If you are interested in the HAL transfer have your TA call to reserve it.
