St Petersburg: SPB tour by day - HAL tour by night - possible?

Recommended Posts

Last year we did a day tour with Alla and an evening tour through the cruise line. We were supposed to be back at the ship by 5 with the evening tour meeting up at 7, but we were delayed in returning to the ship. Remember also that when you get back to the pier, you will need to go through Immigration a second time and have your passport stamped again before boarding the ship. All of this wasn't a problem for us, but if you're going to do an evening tour plan on a very short time back on ship - you won't make it to the dining room. We grabbed something to eat at the buffet.

Why don't you just stay in the city , have dinner , and book the ballet through Alla tours? You can spend more time in the city instead of wasting an hour or two returning to the port and in and out of the ship through immigration. This is what we did on our cruise to St. Petersburg.

We are planning to do a day tour with SPB -that ends at 6pm.

Some of us want to do the HAL ballet excursion at 7pm.

Do you think that this is feasible? I'm not sure if things run on time or smoothly....

Thx.

Why don't you ask Viktoria if she can get you tickets to the ballet? That way everything is in their hands and they can adjust the timing for you so you won't miss anything.

When we did our two day tour with SPB Tours, we had such glorious weather on day one, that our scheduled canal cruise that was originally for day two, was moved to day one to take advantage of that weather. It was a longer day because of that. If you are part of a group and the rest of the group wants to do something, you might not be able to just opt out.

Again, ask SPB tours if they can arrange the ballet for you. it will probably be cheaper and a lot less hectic.

Cheers

Len
