Luci lu Posted May 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Has anyone ever packed a very small coffee maker and made your own coffee in your stateroom?

drb888 Posted May 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Has anyone ever packed a very small coffee maker and made your own coffee in your stateroom? Hi Luci - a coffemaker per se is not allowed, but what you can do is bring your own good coffee and a french press, and add the hot water yourself. The issue then is getting water hot enough to make decent coffee. Also, re: the coffee card, it is the same price, but you can use the card on a future cruise if you don't use it all up. dorisis Posted May 21, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 21, 2014 I like the idea of the individual coffee press. The card is about $30 and gives yopu15 punches. One punch for each coffee whether large or small.
Mary Ellen1 Posted May 21, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 21, 2014 You could also bring a coffee filter cone, and make your own pour-over coffee. Somewhat easier to clean up than a french press, IMHO.
Colo Cruiser Posted May 21, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 21, 2014 If the coffee maker has an auto shutoff its fine. There are quite a few CC members that pack their own. Sometimes they leave it for Stewart.
sept10dsm Posted May 21, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 21, 2014 I like the idea of the individual coffee press. The card is about $30 and gives yopu15 punches. One punch for each coffee whether large or small. and the unlimited fresh brewed.
Rare TracieABD Posted May 21, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 21, 2014 The coffee card is just shy of $33 after the 15% is added. It never expires for the 15 punches portion of the card. If you have punches, the card is active. However, for the free brewed coffee, it is only good for the cruise that the card was purchased on. pablo222 Posted May 27, 2014 #13 Share Posted May 27, 2014 Has anyone ever packed a very small coffee maker and made your own coffee in your stateroom? I was on Caribbean Princess last week. In the safety announcement during the muster drill, coffee makers were specifically mentioned as not being allowed. However, I know that this is only for other people.
