Monkey Park in Roaton, Honduras?

Has anyone been to this excursion and enjoyed it, is it just a petting zoo or is it worth going to?

 

 

All I know is I was Born To Cruise..

from reports of friends that have been there, it appears that the monkeys are chained at night. what a horribly sad place :(

I do not know if there is more than one of these parks there.

 

We went to the Mayan Eden Animal Park. It is not a petting zoo although we were able to hold a kinkajou and a boa constrictor. The Capuchin monkeys may want to get on your shoulders.

 

We enjoyed our visit there which also included katamundi, aguti, white-tail deer, Macaws, butterflies, many flowers, and more.

 

The animals seemed to be well taken care of.

If it's Gumbalimba, we were there earlier this year and had a ball. The monkeys were free and friendly, although I don't know what happens after the tourists leave but the monkeys were very playful. The beach is nice, and you do get to "interact" with parrots too, and there were lots of iguanas wandering. I could have skipped the pirate and the dead insect exhibits though.
