JimAOk1945 Posted June 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) Hello folks... Welcome to Cruise Critic! Tell us a little about yourself and your upcoming cruise! Which cruise line did you book with? Which ship are you cruising on? Where are you going? Is this your first cruise? Are you going alone/with family/with friends? conceptualkay Posted June 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 16, 2014 I guess I'll start! My boyfriend and I will be cruising for our first time from Tampa to Grand Caymans and Cozumel. September 29th-October 4th! We are sailing on Carnival Paradise. I am sooo excited! I think the hardest part is determining what excursions to take. There are just so many options. I definitely want to so snorkeling =)
wassup4565 Posted June 17, 2014 #9 Share Posted June 17, 2014 First thing you have to decide is whether to book your excursions through the cruise line. You will pay more if you do that, but you will have the peace of mind that if it's a ship excursion, you cannot miss the ship, even if the excursion is late getting back. They will get you back. However, many CCers would advise you to use the Ports section of this site and your CC roll call group to line up much less costly excursions directly with tour providers on-site. They would say those tour providers will not let you miss the ship, or their business will be kaput. Did you sign up for your roll call group? Probably lots of ideas there for your specific cruise. Plus you'll get to know some people before you sail.

You can pick up a waterproof disposable very cheaply at your local drug store or supermarket. SPF 50+ !!!!

Calgary, Alberta Posted July 6, 2014 #16 Share Posted July 6, 2014 Go on the Stingray City excursion! Don't be afraid of the stingrays. They are completely wild in open water and they are very very friendly. I went on that excursion 10 years ago and it was my favourite excursion to date. Take lots of pics holding the sting rays. Even get a waterproof GoPro camera. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
