Has the price for the elite/suite/platinum lounge special of the day increased to $6?

Someone asked this on another thread with a misleading title.

Does someone who has cruised recently know the answer to this?

Thanks

We were on the 5/26 Caribbean Princess sailing and the special drink of the day was still $5.

We were on the Grand 6-1 and still $5. But it has been the practice on

most ships to allow you to get any of the featured drinks for the $5 price.

Midway thru the cruise bartender said they received an email from corporate

disallowing that practice. So only time will tell if all ships adhere to this.

Last February (7 - 27) on the Emerald, only the featured drink was $5.

I would still consider $6 a reasonable price. The drinks are consistently not diluted down like in some (non ship) bars. The view/coziness/atmosphere of Skywalkers (if that is the locale) is very nice. And, you have some nice appetizers at no extra charge (shrimp or smoked salmon is better than bar peanuts). I have been to some places in Las Vegas that charge twice that price. Unless you are at an Applebee's happy hour or such, it is quite reasonable (and no sales tax!):D

price as of April was $6
Which ship? This appears to contradict what others have posted.

Princess has rolled out price increases before. When they raised the price to $5 I believe the Coral and Island were among the first to increase prices and it took well over six months for all ships to go to $5 from $3.99.

Changing the subject slightly. Why can't wine always be featured as the drink of the

day? In addition to an alcohol drink.

Greg

Me thinks wine IS an alcoholic drink...THAT'S why I drink wine! :D

Do we have a confirmation on which ship it's $6? Could this be the beginning of a rollout fleet-wide to raise the price?

Berni

Evidently not as the OP has not responded as to which ship this was on.
