Passenger jumps from Divina

This information is coming from Televisa in Mexico City. A 29 year old Mexican

passenger on the MSC Divina made a bet with fellow passengers, that he could jump

from the 15th deck. He did and the ship has been searching for him since. This

happened sometime on Thursday, June 19.

Updated info. Passenger still not found. This was a charter cruise for soccer fans, mostly mexican. Ship was off the coast of Brazil.

Not sounding very hopeful that he will be found.

 

It was an incredibly stupid and rash act but he has paid the ultimate price for that folly. Terrible situation for his friends and family.

 

Such a tragic waste.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't hitting the water from 15 stories up be like hitting the ground - especially if intoxicated and not entering the water in a clean dive? That is at least 150ft. Which means he would have hit the water at 66mph. He was probably knocked out at the impact. :(
