Exployer Disembarcation Question

Recommended Posts

I am seeing many posts about the problems with disembarcation at Cape Liberty so am looking for advice re the time to have our limo service pick us up. We will be taking our luggage off ourselves and at present we have scheduled a pickup by Carmel limo service for 9:00 am. Would this be too early or too late? Our flight is at 2:00 pm on a Saturday from JFK airport. Thanks for your comments and advice. Trish

Of course, timing can vary greatly between cruises, but 9am should work for self-assist. We've been among the lowest luggage tag numbers (after self-assist) and have been outside, ready for pick up once at 8:45am and once at 9am.

That should be doable. The difficulty with self disembarkation at Port Liberty is the tram. You will need to lift your luggage approximately one foot to get it on the tram. There will be many people trying to do the same thing, and it won't be at a leisurely pace.
