Excursions in Naples and Crete

We are sailing on Silhouette on July 15 and looking for a couple of people to share excursions in Naples and Crete. We are wanting to see Herculaneum and Naples with car and guide. In Crete we are looking for a private tour of the island. There are 4 in our party: two adults and two teens. Is anyone interested?

If you have a private guide in naples, take the time and go to Casserta. It is the italian equivalent of Versailles and is spectacular:o

Post this on your Roll Call to find others who might be interested

Since you are new to this board, you may not know what a Roll Call is. It's a place where cruisers on your sailing get together and discuss the cruise and port tours, among other things. You might be able to find someone share a tour with you, or perhaps you could join another tour of interest.

Here is a link to your RC: ;)

You may want to start on the last page and ask your question before reading through the many pages. You can also look back several pages to see if there are any open tours.

PS - If you have never been to Naples, I would suggest going on a tour to the Amalfi coast. We have docked in Naples 4 times, and have yet to visit Naples proper. Our last visit, we took a tour to the Amalfi coast (Sorrento and Positano :)), had lunch in the hills with spectacular views, and then stopped by Herculaneum on the way back to port.

Welcome to Cruise Critic and please come back to this oars when you have general questions. One of the great things about this site is that it is searchable, too, so always check to see if others have already found answers to your questions.
