just curious reason behind your Cruise Critic Registered name

Recommended Posts

It's my name and first initial Nancy Liedel = Nliedel. I have no imagination and think I signed up for the boards 4 years ago last spring in the middle of the night. I don't know for sure cause the info went bye, bye during a server changeover.

Hi from another Nancy. My originial CC name was the same... first initial and last name. I have no imagination either!!! :) But, my last name is Bestafka... so... NBestafka looked a little "um... obscene" sometimes when looking at it quickly. Got some good laughs though. After the server change I couldn't get back into CC using my name... so, I took the opportunity and changed it. Now, it is still not very imaginative... first name and last initital. LOL (would love to lie and say the 84 is my birthyear... hehehehe.... but it is the year I graduated from high school.

my name is boring but easy for me to remember-

pierce- last name

tc- initials

4- 4 of us in immediate family

when i signed up at cc years ago- the 4 of us were going on the cruise

on another board- the number is 2 cause only dh and i were going on that trip- this is a neat thread-

should we start one about what you would change your name to if you had it to do over? and why? that might be interesting to read too

What a great idea!:D

I'm happy to get to explain mine cause everyone thinks it's cause I'm a bit "ditzy"! (Not true;)) But, it's really cause our first cruise was on Disney...Dis...diz...liz (nickname)...dizliz. Wish I had tought to capitalize it!!!:)

Old name I used in the early 80s (for the game "Photon") I had just started working for and Electrician.

Brought it back when we got on the internet with aol in 89. Wirenut was taken so instead of the random numbers they suggested, I added 624 (June 24th = Birthday) Now an Electrical contractor myself, I have since used it for several message boards

as all of our photos from Maui with babies, mom & excorts fighting for the females over 19 years every February are way to big to use. We film the whales with a blow up boat from the coast guard that 2 guys off duty take a feww folks out with them, no more than 20 and they know where the pods are so we get out there & turn everything off & wait, Sure enough, mom & baby with 2 escorts, so breaching away for a very wet cruise but fun! Then we send the films to the Pacific Whale Foundation so they can track the flukes to ID them, as the same females return to mate & give birth. The babies are a year older & mom rejects them in Hawaii, so we follow them photographing as many as possible. THen the whale count, where every scuba diver in Hawaii meets at the bottom of the triangle of Maui Country (Mau'i, Moloka'i & Lana'i) and we count the whales we see & we shoot ink at htem to mark them to not recount them. 795+ last year.....

Hi MACOP -- I see you liked my avatar picture -- this stunning photograph was taken by another whale watcher, my friend Louise from England, in Glacier Bay last year. This is just one of many stunning pictures! Happy cruising!

That sounds fantastic! We have not yet made the trek to Hawaii, but it sure sounds like a wonderful experience.

I have always called my DH "Honey". My niece lived with us for a short time when she was 18 mos old (now 18 yrs old), and she heard me call him honey all the time. She actually thought that was his name. She called him honey.....so now everyone does, nieces, nephews and my sisters. and hence the name "Honey's Gal".
