LOL! I didn't say to get married or share a bed--just roommates for the (admittedly long) cruise!

 

Still not a good idea - I sleep naked... and for only four hours a night.

 

I won't share a (twin bed) hotel room with my best friend for ONE night. One hundred eleven nights with a stranger in 158 sq. ft. is unthinkable.

Married people have had years to accustom themselves to each other's habits before they cruise. Asking total strangers to do it is a bit much. Lots of pairs of roommates in college can't make it through hundred and 11 days either

Well, I've already got my 'roomie'...

 

After the roommate from hell I had as a freshman in college, I figure I could tolerate sharing a small room with almost anyone. Now, whether they would be able to tolerate me...that is an entirely different question.

It's okay - we don't have to share the foc's'el (or God forbid... 'hot rack'); I just got an email from Cunard -

 

QM2, 113 day World Cruise (Southampton to Southampton) departing 10 January 2015:

USD $24,496.75 + $1,368.21 for Inside guarantee (solo).

 

I think I'll book the pseudo-British, Carnivore Corporation liner and pretend I'm Magellan (but unlike him, make it back).

Hey Bill, thats not a huge deal, Cunard is giving away spots in his 3 world cruise. QV WC is now down to $10 770 pp including gratuities...

 

I just wonder if I can tolerate being so long on a cunard ship....deal is huge
