Annie777 Posted July 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2014 We want the Premium package for our August Solstice cruise, but have not purchased it yet. The Credit Card has taken a beating this week, so I'd like to know if it gets charged to our card when we book it, or is it charged when we cruise? Thanks! QE2_Fan Posted July 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2014 Hi If you purchase it online before you cruise, it will be charged to your card at that time. You can book/prepay up until 4 days prior to your cruise so you can wait a bit...or even just book it onboard..if you have any OBC you can use some do that to pay for it and leave your card some room to breathe until you have to pay for your onboard account at end of your cruise [emoji2] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Annie777 Posted July 1, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted July 1, 2014 Thanks QE2Fan, I'll leave it for a few weeks in that case.
KirkNC Posted July 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 1, 2014 Really no reason to book ahead as they won't fill up or run out of them :p.
The_Big_M Posted July 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 1, 2014 There is a benefit in booking ahead: 1) you lock in the exchange rate, if you're concerned it may fall 2) you've prepaid so it can help with budgeting instead of getting a big bill on the cruise

Rare cruisestitch Posted July 1, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 1, 2014 Is that still the case? It was so a while ago, but I thought that recently I read that the price to upgrade is the same whether you do so ahead of the cruise or on board. Can anyone confirm? Jocecruise Posted July 1, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 1, 2014 It was cheaper to book in advance for our March 2014 cruise.....
jelayne Posted July 1, 2014 #9 Share Posted July 1, 2014 Celebrity changed the pricing earlier this year.- the packages are the same price whether you purchase ahead of time or purchase on the ship.
caladezi Posted July 1, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 1, 2014 It's $10.00 plus $1.50 grats/per day = $11.50. Same price in advance or onboard.
Jocecruise Posted July 1, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 1, 2014 It's $10.00 plus $1.50 grats/per day = $11.50. Same price in advance or onboard. I stand corrected!!
Annie777 Posted July 2, 2014 Author #12 Share Posted July 2, 2014 Really no reason to book ahead as they won't fill up or run out of them :p. That WOULD be a disaster!:)
