Just off Enchantment. Any questions??

Recommended Posts

We will be on our first trip on Enchantment in December. Our three day cruise is only in Nassau from 7-3. If we miss Cococay, will we spend more time in Nassau? Also, are the windjammer, park cafe, Viking lounge, and main dining room all kid friendly? Our toddler will be travelling with us. Thanks for all of the information and I look forward to reading your full report!

On the 3-day itinerary, the problem is that they probably won't know they are missing Coco Cay until Sunday, after leaving Nassau the night before. So the only choice will be to go slowly back to Port Canaveral.

Dec 12 trip DOES do a reverse itinerary and BOTH EN and Majesty are in Coco Cay on Sat the 13 and Nassau the 14. This is due to the EX being in Coco cay the 14. If it were ME I would re book this trip. It's gonna be crowded at Coco Cay, plus tendering 2 ships there will be hectic.

Now the Freedom goes there but I think if you combine EN and MJ capacities it will be close to the number of FR guests. But maybe a little more.

If it were ME I would re book this to another date

Yes, I see the reverse itinerary. I had not realized that the days were switched. Regarding the two ships in Coco Cay, last month on the Enchantment we shared Coco Cay with the Majesty. The place got crowded late morning, making it diffiicult for grops of more than 2 to get chairs together. Both buffet venues were open to help with crowds. If you get off the ship prior to 10 or so, you will be fine, and have your selection of seating.

Going with 2 ships would not be my preference, but I don't see it as a reason to rebook.

Enjoy,

M

Thanks for the info! We won't be able to cancel since I already cancelled my NCL sky cruise that weekend and switched to RCI. I already took off from work and booked airfare since it's a birthday weekend celebration. Luckily I have a toddler that is up early so my goal will be to board early and head back to the ship around his nap time in the afternoon. If it's crowded, we will deal with it. Just hoping we still get to make a day there and not skip it. Either way, an extra day at sea is still better than a cold day at home! Lol thank you again for all of the insight!

Love your attitude. I was going to recommend that you not "sleep in" that day, but I see your toddler has already taken care of that!

Have a wonderful cruise.

For 35 we loved it! The champagne was cheap and the snack was a bag of Wise potato chips that most people didn't even take but that didn't bother uso. I have tried a few times to post pics but it won't work from my phone. The views were amazing and there were only about 20 people on it. Just as an FYI a few people complained about the walk from the ship to the catamaran. We thought it was fine but other people thought that they deserved an air conditioned bus

That sounds fine with us. We love the views and just sailing. And walking won't bother us. Thanks!

We are heading out on enchantment in October! The option for chops has just now come up for purchase online, I was wondering which night was "formal" night? I'm trying to decide which night would be best for chops and I've heard that formal night is pretty packed. Thanks!

We were on the Enchantment in March and also enjoyed the Park Cafe and Solarium very much. Good lunches- great salads.

We went to Nassau early and stayed overnight due to the Coco Cay cancellation. Went to the Melia at Cable Beach the first afternoon.

Went on a ship's excursion to Blue Lagoon Island the next day. Dolphin Encounter very good- island clean, plenty of lounge chairs, good swimming spot in lagoon.

Have a great cruise.

Can you tell me from the Compass, who was the piano player in the Schooner Bar?

On our 7/7 sailing, there were two entertainers in the Schooner Bar. Some nights it was piano melodies by Alvin and other times were listed as music with Herman Harper II. We did not see either one. :D We preferred dancing with the Upscale Trio in Boleros or the Centrum.
