Bases5 Posted July 4, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2014 How bad is the obstruction, Is there better rooms than other? Less obstructed, I looked at the deck plan and they all look just as obstructed.
Mrs.G's Mr.G Posted July 4, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) How bad is the obstruction, Is there better rooms than other? Less obstructed,I looked at the deck plan and they all look just as obstructed. Yes some are better than others. We stayed in 4115 twice on the Miracle and it was right between 2 life boats. We had a narrow view of the water and lots of sunshine. crusinpsychRN Posted July 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2014 (edited) Some cabins have a view if they are between life boats. I watched a beautiful lightening storm from the French door when we pulled into Roatan. Later, I watched a life boat drill. jjmsbu09 Posted July 4, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 4, 2014 We had 4148 on the legend. It was a great cabin we were between life boats. 4140 is great too (I walked by during embarkation). Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

Cruise life Posted July 5, 2014 #11 Share Posted July 5, 2014 This is a picture looking between 2 lifeboats. 4192 on the Miracle has this view; a good PVP could tell you which rooms have the better views. Be advised the photo here is with the ladder down. There is a ladder dead center in the open area that can be left in the up position that partially obstructs further. sjcruiser Posted July 6, 2014 #13 Share Posted July 6, 2014 The french doors rooms is some of the best deals on the ships Ive been on (Miracle and Pride). The rooms between the lifeboats offer the best view, but just having the sunlight and fresh air is better than an IS or OCV view (IMO).

marshhawk Posted July 6, 2014 #16 Share Posted July 6, 2014 We loved having the ability to open the doors and get some fresh air, but I have to admit that we had no view in 4197. We did the the harbour pilot get off the hip and back to his boat, but other than that, we really had no interest in looking out. September in the Caribbean can be hot, so just hanging out the window didn't help us, and our cruise was so much fun, we were rarely in our cabin. The advantage however was the proximity to every thing. We loved walking down one level to dinner, or to the outside promenade area. Book it, if you want the cruise and you want to save money, it's a great deal!
Velvetwater Posted July 6, 2014 #17 Share Posted July 6, 2014 Almost all the cabins that are next to the long oval shape on the deck plan will be blocked. Almost every cabin that is by a long oblong shape between the ovals will have some sort of view. The exceptions are the ones on the line of 3 lifeboats that have a partial view but not as good as the other 'in betweens'. All french door rooms have a balcony layout inside the room and fresh air and I agree with some others here...they are the best bargain on the ship and much better that insides and OVs. You can wedge the doors open by moving your bed. Nothing like the fresh sea sounds and air to send you off to sleep.
ccruisequeen Posted July 7, 2014 #18 Share Posted July 7, 2014 (edited) Had a French door cabin with life boats blocking our view but the fresh air was wonderful. We held them open with a bolster from the day-bed (the red is the top of the lifeboat with the white boat below it) Edited July 7, 2014 by ccruisequeen adding life boat information
