Transatlantic 9/1 Lauderdale - Barcelona.

 

Help me select cabin. 7616 or 8184. Also avail 8590, 8584, 8582, 8572 8580. Not sure to select Port or Starboard?

Very easy for me, eastbound it´s port and westbound it´s starboard. I want to be away from the sun, so a mostly North facing cabin is the way to go for me. Nice and shady balcony.:cool:

Eliminate 7616. It's an annoying deck to live on. ;)

 

And actually, I don't think that it's available anyway. 7608, 7580, 7584 are. 7590 has a slightly larger balcony, because it's on the very beginning of the hump.

 

I would therefore take 8590. :)

We like having a sunny balcony, so would take starboard side.

Why is the 7th floor annoying to live on. We have been assigned a Deck 7 cabin for our Gauarantee X, is it worth fussing about? Is deck 14 better?

First, we would always avoid deck 14, it being directly below the sports deck (15); and because of the constant activities, there is noise that many people on 14 would not appreciate.

 

When we were in a deck 14 Central Park balcony, we could not sit on our balcony because there were huge noisy fans located in the corners near our cabin.

 

On deck 8 is Central Park where the Rising Tide is located and Dazzles is between Central Park and Boardwalk (some find them noisy); however, rooms on 7 not near these venues would not affect most people.

I was surprised at how quickly things got chilly outside on Independence transatlantic in May and sure was glad to be on the sunny side of the ship.
