Better balcony location???

I am planning a cruise from Whittier to Vancouver and would like to know if a aft balcony is better(for viewing glaciers) than a port or starboard balcony? I have not booked a cabin as yet and would prefer to optimize all possibilities.

The scenery is 360 degrees. So there really isn't a "best" side of the ship. Plus, you aren't locked in your cabin- you are out and about, all over the ship.

General consensus is port on a southbound. Personally it's wake view or forward facing.

We have a choice of either a forward facing sloped balcony cabin or aft facing slope. I wondered if the forward slope would be windy? I have checked on the cabin thread but still can't decide. Hope someone with experience of Alaska cruising can help.

If the ship is moving, the front facing decks always have a chance of wind, on any cruise, anywhere.
