elycelynne Posted July 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2014 The bad news -- Explore 4 isn't being offered on my sailing (Noordam, Feb. 6th). The good news -- I looked at pricing for the next 10-day sailing where Explore 4 IS being offered, and the cost is about $400 more for the same cabin category. Would I spend $400 for drinks (alcohol and non-alcohol) for a 10-day sailing? Probably not. So I guess it all works out in the end. And I think I can spring for the Pinnacle Grill if I really want it.

solocanadian Posted July 31, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2014 This just proved the time old statement, "there is nothing for free".:)
SilvertoGold Posted July 31, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2014 Glad you have a clear-cut view of what you pay for the "free" Explore4. On a 10 day cruise $400 minus the charge for the Pinnacle is still a lot to drink! As usual, solocanadian is right!
jaguarstyper Posted July 31, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 31, 2014 I got an email from HAL announcing a $200 OBC for a cruise I was already booked on. I called my travel agent and asked if we somehow qualified for the OBC. She told me she would be happy to re-book our cabin, and give us the $200 OBC, but the fare would be $200 pp more if we re-booked. OK, nevermind, forget I asked. :)

Including a Pinnacle Dinner, bathrobe to take home, one bottle of wine and a photo. Just add $250. per person. Ha ha.

PathfinderEss Posted July 31, 2014 #10 Share Posted July 31, 2014 Feel sorry for those of you who are interested in the Explore 4 program and not being able to get it. Yeah KK, but if the cruise cost you $1000. more for having Explore 4 attached, then what are you really gaining?

mollyanne Posted August 1, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I've seen the Explore 4 pricing this week and think it is out of control. We enjoy our cocktails as much as the next guy but could never justify the extra cost.
