Snacks~Do you pack some?

I hate to say it but the more we travel in the US the more we realize that the US has a major health problem with obesity. And it is no wonder given that so many restaurants appear to favor quantity over quality. They load the plates up with fries as well as fried everything else. We saw this in our past two road trips through the southern states.

 

Don't know that it is down to snack food or not but one thing is for certain....there seems to be three fast food outlets on every corner. And every gas station seems to be flogging French fries and fried chicken. Yuk.

 

The differences in the number of obese people really hits you when you have travelled in Europe for a month or two and then go the US. Most especially young people/teenagers. We also see the difference on Med cruises if there are lots of Europeans on the ship.
