Mamacruiser256 Posted August 6, 2014 #101 Share Posted August 6, 2014 8-1=7 (7 days purchasing the program)$37.50 x 15% = 43.125 (round to $43.13 per day) $43.13 x 7 = $301.91 (for 1 person only) $301.91 x 2 = $603.82 (assuming 2 adults in room as all over 21 in the room must buy it) By the way, I am not a smart person, but I did spend last night in a Holiday Inn Express.;) Beautiful! You get an 'A'. Thank you!:D

bar1068 Posted August 6, 2014 #105 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Soooo...this "news" is obviously causing a buzz round here...some like me I guess could be considering Cheers for an upcoming cruise...I got a couple semi-dumb question for those that may know... My impression from looking at the Cheers package and what it includes...the $10 per drink limit is before the 15% gratuity....So a martini thats $9.95 at a bar on lounge is covered by Cheers...right? Cheers package also includes soda....how about some of the various juices most of the bars have...similar to the "bottomless bubbles" package? This changes everything...... Yes the $10 is before gratuity so a martini is covered. I believe juice at the bars is covered as well as soda. This really changed the game add to whether cheers is worth the cost. I would say yes now. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk

Scotch Mist Posted August 6, 2014 #108 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I know it says coffee not allowed- but wonder if that includes those coffees with Bailey's or Kaluha in it? I always got an Irish or Mexican coffee from the Casino bar on our Splendor cruise in January. They said if you ordered a cappuccino and added a shot of liquor then it was included. Regarding buckets of beer, we would order a beer and ask for a bucket. After 5 minutes we would order another beer but didn't open it. We would then take the bucket with our beers away to either our room or pool. Emeraldeyes5969 Posted August 6, 2014 #109 Share Posted August 6, 2014 (edited) We're booked on The Breeze Sept 7th Sailing...6 days...although I am thankful for the price drop its a bummer it is the same price as the 5 day...they should have split the difference between the 5 day and 7...$39.99 sounds good to me Edited August 6, 2014 by Emeraldeyes5969
aprilfool Posted August 6, 2014 #110 Share Posted August 6, 2014 Forgive me if I am wrong, but I do not see the option to purchase on the 2nd day any longer. It says you must purchase for the length of the cruise.

Weird that days 3-4 are broken down but then not 5 and 6. Still a better price though! Now, if I can still buy it the second day, I may reconsider. Still think they should include bottled water, but at least they let you bring that on.
Danacat222 Posted August 6, 2014 #112 Share Posted August 6, 2014 If true, i'm sold. for 37.50 a day + 15% grats, it's perfect for my cruise drinking style :)

pj woods Posted August 6, 2014 #116 Share Posted August 6, 2014 This works well for me on my next cruise. My wife is really a 1 or 2 drink a day kinda of gal so it wouldn't pay for her. But since on record she is in the inside cabin with the kids I am the only adult in the room. And since I always get a soda card and the package comes with soda its like getting the package for 30.50 Yay for me
JLee1973 Posted August 6, 2014 #117 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I agree. Does anyone know if you can still purchess on the second day? I just read through the FAQ again on Carnivals site. I don't know the only place I read you can by on the second day is sailings out of Texas. Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
jetta8300 Posted August 6, 2014 #118 Share Posted August 6, 2014 I think this will be a nice money maker for Carnival... My husband and I had about a $250 bar tab for our last 7 day cruise. We would have liked to drink a bit more, but it's different when you're paying for each drink. The cheers program was never worth it for us. Now I think we will pay the $37.50 pp, especially since we are mostly martini drinkers, if we drank minimum 3 in one day plus a few cans of soda it would at least breakeven. and Carnival will be gaining a nice extra few hundred dollars because we will drink more. seeing this world Posted August 6, 2014 #124 Share Posted August 6, 2014 is the 15% gratiuty on the value of the package or the value of the total drinks consumed .. There is a big difference. Like the package , better value just trying to figure out if there is a twist .. Why would you lower the price of a package? Call me crazy ..... 7 day package 37.50 = 262.50 plus 15% gratituity 39.38 = 301.88 now 15 drinks average value for rounding sake 10.00 = 150.00 x 15% = 22.50 a day x 7 = 157.50 gratiuty plus 262.50 = 420.00 total so is the gratiuty of the package or value of the total number of drinks consumed?
