Miami - Airport Marriott or Crown Plaza???

I want to stay out by Miami International pre-cruise and I am curious about comparing the Airport Marriott with the Crown Plaza. Both are in same general area with a comparable price, both have restaurants & a bar, nice pools, etc.

 

Are they basically the same or is one a way better choice? I will have a rental car and I know the both charge an arm and a leg for parking.

If you'll have a rental car, why do you want to stay at an airport hotel with expensive parking?
