cruisecritiquer Posted September 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 2, 2014 Without regards to price, is the trip to Atlantis faster, less hectic, etc. using a taxi rather than traveling with the NCL excursion?
chrisaf Posted September 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 2, 2014 No - Its less hectic and less costly to do it on your own, not through an excursion or through comfort suites. Simply get a taxi when you get off the ship and go directly into the lobby at Atlantis and purchase your tickets. You will be over at Atlantis well before most excursions even load the bus after you leave the ship. We have always done it this way and whenever we are meeting someone who is on an NCL excursion, we are always at the water park at least an hour before they arrive at the water park. There are plenty of showers, towels, etc. at Atlantis to use so not sure why anyone would want to actually use the comfort suites anyway.

Our ship comes in late so there is a concern that all of the day passes will be sold out for the day. Is that not a valid concern? The Atlantis website states, Atlantis: Access to the Aquaventure Waterpark and marine habitats at Atlantis are FREE for guests staying at the resort. Passes may be purchased by day visitors on property, but availability is limited - and may be closed - during periods of high resort occupancy. Passes are $125.00 on all dates except for the following, on which they are $149.00: June 13 - August 15th, November 21st - 30th, and December 20th - 31st. Children (aged 4-12) tickets are $80. mjkacmom Posted September 2, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 2, 2014 It really depends on when you are going. I think CS is a little less convenient, due to the risk with their cancellation policy.

I'm not talking about pricing or risk of losing the deposit. :)
