Anna but no Elsa?

I was checking out the navigators for the Fantasy Eastern and it only showed Anna in the character appearance section. Anyone know if Elsa it there too? My girls LOVE Elsa!!

They were both onboard the Fanyasy last week.

We are just off a Fantasy Eastern (Aug 23-31) and they were both on - It was a ticketed event however. We went for tickets (free) right when we boarded.

It's possible that Elsa's "friend" was not feeling well or otherwise not on the ship.

Absolutely true!

If a face character CM is sick for a M&G, there generally isn't an understudy to cover for them.

In the shows there is a lot more flexibility for someone to cover for them.

Right. In most cases there are only backups for the big 5 for meet and greets. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Cinderella.

 

Pretty much any other character is dependent on the cast member.

 

Part of the reason is costuming the other is you need special training to sign like the character, etc.

Goofy, Capt. Hook, and the Beast as used to be portrayed by only 2 character CM's onboard.

The chipmunks also double for Mickey and Minnie if needed to.

A technician was once asked to stand in for Capt. Hook as the other Capt. Hook CM was sick and Pirate Night needed both of them.

He was rejected straight away once he couldn't even do the simple character trait movements needed ;)

 

Was cool for him to try a character head on though!
