It has been a while since my last cruise where I carried two 12 packs on-board with no problem. Any changes recently, especially the Freedom of the Seas? Thanks in advance.

No changes that I saw......you can still carryon a small amount....

I had the same question, but with water? If I can bring some on, do I put it in my carry on? Checked luggage? And I'm talking like a 6 pack or 12 pack of bottled water.

We are leaving from Port Everglades in January on the Allure of the Seas.

I too was wondering this. When we cruised back in 2003 we walked right on with our cooler and 12pk of coke. Do we need to hide it, put it in our carry on, checked or what?

Royal indicates this on their site--Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol.

It would be best to put them in your carry on as you may get a call to go to the naughty room if it's in your checked luggage.

Can you get ice somewhere or do you take it in a cooler?

You can ask your cabin attendant & they will bring you a bucket of ice...and change it out twice a day....
