First cruise checking in time

Hi all this is our first cruise and we have been sent the holiday details with a check in time of 15.30 is it possible to arrive earlier and board at a better time as i have seen post before or are P & O stringent on their set times. I have seen at some point people said they arrived earlier and got to go to lunch and also the ship leaves about 16.30. any suggestions would be appreciated.

Check in when you like. We normally arrive about 1300 or thereabouts.

Last time to check in is 1545. You can check in any time after around noon and have lunch on board.

check-in for large ships at Ocean terminal starts at about 11.30, just turn up when you like.
