Rare geoherb Posted September 13, 2014 #26 Share Posted September 13, 2014 We walked from the Renaissance last month to Terminal 2. There was a group of people trying to get to the convention center. It was some type of religious group. Unfortunately for these people, they did not have photo identification on them and the guard would not let them past. I guess it will no longer be walking distance with luggage if they move the security gate down to Spangler. I could manage that distance with just a couple of bottles of wine. nhraformula00 Posted September 13, 2014 #27 Share Posted September 13, 2014 My wife and I just walked past Eisenhower on 17th street to the top of the bridge to view the ships leaving port. The guard shack had cars coming and leaving. Looked as thought it might be one lane in and out. Definitely was open and not closed.

Last year I left the port area & returned with only my cruise card & managed to talk my way back to the ship without a photo ID. It took a while but they did let me past....all I had was some things from Walgreen's in a plastic bag.
