cruisetrail Posted September 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2014 Dear fellow cruisers, This is my Liberty of the Seas review & cruise report in pictures and video. It's past overdue. I did not post this on due time, but now I feel that it was unfair. I use the Liberty as a role model in my other reviews. Why not share my vision of this beautiful ship in a seperate review then? So here we go. The review is based on our Mediterranean cruise some time ago. I will also add pictures from our Caribbean cruises. Things like restaurant & buffets menus and entertainment prorgam in this review may be not up to date. That is normal. These things are supposed to be changed from time to time. But all the main features remain the same - ship's design and planning, cabins, balconies, public rooms, open decks & pools, etc.... Of course, food and shows are also important feautures. If they changed since then, I hope the change was not for the worse... It's a shame that I don't have as many pictures of the Liberty as I usually have for a review. So this time I will step aside from my tradition (complete factual reviews focused solely on the ship) and try a genre that is new for me - pre-cruise stories, etc. However, I will try to post more pictures and less comments. I will look at land adventures through the prizm of cruising, so we won't go far from ships and ports. Let's go! Before the Cruise What a pain is to realise that tomorrow your cruise ends! What a pleasure to think that tomorrow your cruise ends but you have another cruise ahead! Wow! We love B2B cruises but we change ships. And we change ports - think of Fort Lauderdale & Miami. What about Venice & Barcelona? Easy! So our pre-cruise photo story starts from our $70 flight from Venice to Barcelona.... Saying Good Buy to Venice airport... But show goes on... Venice cruise port! The weather wasn't good, but we were able to recognize cruise ships. To be continued....
dreamer976 Posted September 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2014 I've never been on LOS, but have been on the two other Freedom class ships - they offer the best cabins at sea (size and layout), IMHO. I'll be waiting for more. Love the pictures, LOVE the MSC Divina stateroom info over on their boards, also! Go ahead, keep 'em coming!!!:D Ellen

2004corvette Posted September 13, 2014 #17 Share Posted September 13, 2014 (edited) thanks for your wonderful review ~ great pics.....looking forward to the rest of your review.....happy sailing ~ enjoy your cruise. we sailed her in March 2014 and found Liberty to be a wonderful ship with all the bells & whistles and a fabulous crew only dislike we had was the rather small enclosed windowless Concierge Lounge located center ship unlike the large Diamond Lounge with panoramic sea views that allowed an exit onto a deck area Edited September 13, 2014 by 2004corvette

sauvichick Posted September 14, 2014 #21 Share Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) only dislike we had was the rather small enclosed windowless Concierge Lounge located center ship unlike the large Diamond Lounge with panoramic sea views that allowed an exit onto a deck area We were spoiled on the Allure's CL because of its large size and the view we had. Disappointed to hear that it's that small on the Liberty. Can't wait to read the rest of the review cruisetrail.
