akerwood Posted September 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2014 We are cruising on the getaway and I need help in deciding which cabin. I already have a forward facing haven cabin and now I'm wondering f if I should change it to a spa haven cabin. Any opinion? Thanks!
gizfish Posted September 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2014 That depends what is more important to you. Will you get use out of a whirlpool tub in your room? Will you use a pass for the spa pool/lounge/sauna/salt room? It is more important that you have the forward view and larger room and balcony? And, is there a price difference. Only you know what you like.
Rare Dr. Cocktail Posted September 15, 2014 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2014 We are cruising on the getaway and I need help in deciding which cabin. I already have a forward facing haven cabin and now I'm wondering f if I should change it to a spa haven cabin. Any opinion? Thanks! I actually sailed on the Breakaway in a deck 12 Forward Facing Penthouse and it was a spectacular cabin ... dining table with four chairs, an area for the coffee machine, small living room, decent sized bedroom and a HUGE bathroom with double sinks, dressing table, toilet stall, shower and separate tub. It really felt like a small apartment. The Getaway spa cabin was beautifully appointed but obviously much smaller. I feel that the in-room whirlpool is a bit goofy but I tried it once or twice. The big added perq is access to the spa. We would use if after the gym for about half an hour to cool down. For the same price, we would (and have booked in the future!) Forward Facing Penthouses but if you love to hang in the spa, the Spa Suite is also a good option. It really depends on your needs.
JasonV1 Posted September 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2014 I liked the "basic" courtyard suites for their proximity to the courtyard. Since the pool and hot tubs never really close its nice to be that close for late evening swims/soaks. Plus you are close to all the other Haven amenities. Gocko Posted September 17, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2014 We sailed the Getaway in July and had a Haven Aft Penthouse Suite, massive balcony and cabin, just like a small apartment. The Aft Penthouse Suite in my opinion is the only way to cruise. Bon Voyage!!👍😎⚓️ Sent from my iPhone using Forums
UPNYGuy Posted September 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted September 17, 2014 Everybody that has replied here has given EXCELLENT feedback IMHO. The different cabin types are geared toward individual preferences, needs, and wants. The spa cabin is great for rest and relaxation if you want the included spa thermal suite access and in-room spa tub (NOT hot tub). If you want additional space, the penthouses are more roomy. For what it is worth, the H9 are very roomy for 2, and have a smooth, country club decor. Sent from my iPad using Forums
